It is important to understand that all dogs of every kind may be at risk from genetic and physical heredity. The OFA created the Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) by partnering with participating parent clubs to research and maintain information on the health issues prevalent in specific breeds.

Before beginning our dog breeding journey, we searched for over a year to identify other Pomsky breeders who understood and utilized these OFA health standards. Sadly, we failed to find even one. We have since found and influenced other breeders who have made a commitment to establish the highest health standard and improve the Pomsky breed.

We have received resistance from many established Pomsky breeders, but are proud to be one of the VERY FIRST Pomsky breeders to set the standard of testing all of our parent dogs against the prevalent health issues found in Siberian Huskies, Pomeranians, and the American Eskimo BEFORE breeding them.

We have also made it our mission to educate other Pomsky breeders and puppy purchasers of the importance of OFA & DNA health testing. It is our hope that this level of health standard will become a common goal within our breeding community!
